In a meeting held with the presence of Dr. Soleimani, the president of Mazandaran Science and Technology Park and the accompanying delegation, and Dr. Rabbani, the president of the University of Science and Technology of Mazandaran, deputies, managers and experts in the meeting hall of the university's presidency, a memorandum of cooperation was signed by the parties with the aim of launching The science and technology campus of East Mazandaran province.
Dr. Rabbani, while welcoming the president of Mazandaran Science and Technology Park and his delegation and congratulating on his appointment to this position, pointed to the high capacity of the growth center of the technological units of the university and added:” Last year, we received the initial approval to start the science and technology campus, and we hope to see the construction of the central building of this campus soon by attracting the required funds.”
Dr. Rabbani referring to the establishment of important and vital industries in the region as well as the largest industrial town of Mazandaran province in the vicinity of the University of Science and Technology of Mazandaran emphasized: “So far, several companies have announced their readiness to establish their research and development units inside the science and technology campus, and it is hoped that with the establishment of the campus, conditions will be provided for more and more effective presence of knowledge-based companies.”
In another part of the meeting, Dr. Soleimani praised the management of the university in the development of the center for the growth of technological units of the university in the last two and a half years, and referred to the development of science and technology parks as the way to save universities in the future. He emphasized that by interacting with city capacities, especially the important industries of the region and the support of the provincial park; we will soon turn the growth center of the university into the eastern pole of the province.
In a short speech, Dr. Shahnazari, the vice president of the provincial science and technology park, announced the readiness of the provincial park to hold briefing sessions for the representatives of scientific associations and added: “In an important step, from now on, the plans of academics will be evaluated and approved in the center of the province.”
At the end of the meeting, the presidents of Science and Technology Park of the province and University of Science and Technology of Mazandaran, while signing a memorandum of cooperation for the establishment of Mazandaran Science and Technology Campus, visited the growth center of the technology units of the university and the offices of knowledge-based companies located in the center.
