Brief History of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Mazandaran University of Science and Technology (Formerly, called Behshahr Higher Education Center) has been a branch of Iran University of Science and Technology till 2011 which it's established in this city since 1994. This collection was disbanded in 2012 from the University of Science and Technology and with namely of Beheshahr Institute of Higher Education started it's activates by admitting BSc students. Since 2013, it has also started working as an independent university named the University of Science and Technology of Mazandaran.
At the end of 2016, the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering was set up. This faculty with two programs in Electrical Engineering (including two Electronics and Power) and Computer Engineering (including two Software orientations and Computer System Architectures tendency), which in total about 1,200 students and 15 faculty members .
The Computer Engineering program (software trend) has been operating since its inception, which in 2012, the hardware trend and then the Architecture of Computer Systems has been added. The field of Electrical Engineering (Electronic trend) was launched in 2009, and in 2012, the trend of power was added. Also, MSc program in Electrical Engineering (power trend) has been launched and started to admission students since 2012.
Introduction to Electrical Engineering
Electrical Engineering has based on two basic Physics and Mathematics and their integration with engineering perspectives, has created tools for designing components and systems, which, in just over a century of its history, has found the widest applications in science and technology. And nowadays, there is less tool, piece or system that cannot be electrically or electronically detached .
By virtue of its generic nature, Electrical Engineering broadens new branches of industry every day and launches new methods. Automation, Energy Production, Transmission, Earth Communications, Medical Measurement, Electronic Aviation and Radar Instruments are just some of the field of application in the field of electrical engineering.
The field of electricity has four types of power, control, electronics and telecommunications. In general, power tendencies are addressed to education and research in the design and construction of systems used in the production, transmission, distribution and power consumption. Among the issues that arise in this trend are the following :

Also, in the field of power at the master's level, more specifically, the discussed topics are discussed, and in that particular subject the details are discussed. For example, it specifically addresses the issue of generating electricity and, in particular, new energy production methods, including solar power plants, wind power plants, etc.
Students in this field, after they have mastered general knowledge and basic principles at undergraduate level, are expected to contact senior students with undergraduate backgrounds and, with their lessons learned at this stage, the ability to design and analyze power networks.

Today, with the development of small and large industries in the country, many job opportunities are provided to electrical engineers, and if we see that some graduates of this field are still unemployed, because these people are only looking for job in Tehran. Or they have only completed their courses during the period of study, instead of learning deep into the courses and, as a result of acquiring the necessary abilities.
Also, a good engineer should be an entrepreneur, not seeking employment in institutions or ministries, but with the help of his own knowledge, technical and industrial needs of the country, and by addressing these systems by special systems and circuits. What some of our graduates have done and, thankfully, have been successful. If a graduate has the necessary skills, he will not face unemployment.
According to the experts and energy experts in the country, due to the growing demand for energy in the current world and the rate of growth of electric energy in the country, the annual production of the country should increase by 1,500 MW, which will require the construction of new power plants and also graduates Electrical and power specialist.

Because of its applicability in many other engineering sciences, the field of electricity provides graduates with the opportunity to study in many areas of science and technology.
Admission Requirements for Senior Students
Graduate undergraduate students will be able to continue their undergraduate electrical power education in all disciplines of the electrical field. Also, graduated medical students can continue to study in the field if they are accepted in the national curriculum as well as undergraduate courses.
